Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 29, 2026
Last updated: July 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Decent Home Care, LLC (“Decent Home Care,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the public website at decenthomecare.com and related contact features. It is an informational disclosure based on how the website is built today. It is not a certification of legal compliance.

1. Who we are

Decent Home Care, LLC is a non-medical home care agency based in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Current public contact details are published on our Contact page.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Browsing the public website
  • Submitting the online contact form
  • Calling or emailing using contact details published on the website

It does not describe care delivery records, employment files, Medicaid billing systems, or other operational systems that are separate from this public website, unless those systems receive website inquiry information after delivery to our mailbox.

3. Information you submit

When you use the contact form, you may provide:

  • Full name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Preferred contact method
  • City or ZIP code
  • General reason for contact (inquiry type)
  • A free-text message
  • An acknowledgment that we may use the information to respond to the inquiry (this is not marketing consent)

Please do not include Social Security numbers, insurance identification numbers, payment information, passwords, detailed medical history, diagnoses, or other highly sensitive information in the form. The message field is free text, so visitors can still type sensitive content despite this request.

If you contact us by phone or email outside the form, we receive whatever information you choose to share through those channels.

4. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure may process technical information when you visit, such as IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, browser or device information, and similar connection metadata. Our private contact API uses client IP information for rate limiting and abuse prevention and may share the IP with Cloudflare Turnstile during verification. Structured application logs are designed not to include the submitted contact-form body or message text.

5. Contact-form processing

When a contact form is submitted successfully:

  1. Your browser sends the form fields to our same-origin contact API.
  2. Cloudflare Turnstile helps reduce automated abuse.
  3. The API validates the submission and forwards an email through Brevo to our internal recipient mailbox.
  4. The Decent Home Care application does not store contact submissions in a website database.

Submitting the form does not create a caregiver-client relationship, guarantee that we can provide services, or guarantee an immediate response.

6. Contact acknowledgment

The required contact-form checkbox asks you to acknowledge that Decent Home Care may use the information you provide to respond to that inquiry. It is not consent to marketing emails, advertising, or unrelated follow-up communications. The website does not currently offer a marketing opt-in.

7. Service providers and third parties

We use service providers and infrastructure that may receive information as needed to operate the website and contact form:

  • Brevo — transactional email delivery of contact inquiries to our team
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — form security and abuse prevention
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — documented hosting environment for the website and contact API
  • Caddy — web server, reverse proxy, and TLS termination in our deployment
  • Google Fonts — font files loaded by the browser for site typography
  • Unsplash — some pages load remote images hosted by Unsplash
  • Google Maps — outbound “Get Directions” links only; maps are not embedded on the page
  • Domain and certificate services — services used to publish the site under our domain name and to provide HTTPS may process technical connection information

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices so we can host the website, deliver contact emails, and protect the contact form from abuse. This description is limited to the website implementation described in this policy.

8. Purposes for using information

We use website-related information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and route them to the appropriate internal contact
  • Operate, secure, and maintain the website and contact form
  • Reduce spam, bots, and abuse
  • Understand basic operational issues such as errors or availability
  • Comply with legal obligations when applicable

9. Data retention

The public website application does not keep a contact-form database. Inquiry content that reaches email systems, Brevo, mailboxes, server logs, or backups may still be retained by those systems.

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and meeting applicable legal obligations. We may retain information when reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or operational reasons, even if a deletion request is made, where permitted or required.

10. Security limitations

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps appropriate to a small public website, including HTTPS in production deployments, origin checks for the contact API, rate limiting, Turnstile verification, and avoiding intentional logging of form bodies. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send highly sensitive information through the public contact form.

11. Privacy requests

To submit a privacy-related request, contact us through our Contact page. Please do not include Social Security numbers, insurance identification numbers, passwords, detailed medical records, or unnecessary identity documents in your initial request. See our Privacy Choices page for more detail.

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to our activities, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify identity in a reasonable way. We may deny or limit a request where permitted or required by law or where we cannot locate or control the relevant records (for example, copies held only by a service provider or in an email thread).

We do not promise that every request will be granted.

12. International visitors

The website is operated for a Scranton, Pennsylvania business audience. Visitors from other places may still reach the site. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries depending on their infrastructure. Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to our activities, you may have additional privacy rights.

13. Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults seeking information about non-medical home care, careers, or related business inquiries. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us through our Contact page so we can take appropriate steps.

14. External websites

Our site may link to third-party websites or services, such as Google Maps directions. Those sites are governed by their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content or privacy controls.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we revise it. Continued use of the website after an update means you should review the revised policy.
